INTERNATIONAL ICHANGE NATIONS™ GOLDEN RULE HONOR EVENT

World Civility Award Winners
iChange Nations™ the “World’s Largest Building Cultures of Honor” network had an International Honor Event in Grand Rapids, Michigan November 4, 2017. In attendance were several different nations. Leading humanitarians and people of civility were honored with prestigious iChange Nations™ Awards.

There was a great representation from NW Indiana. Dr. Gordon Bradshaw, one of the founders of Community Civility Counts Initiative received the iChange Nations “Pillar Award” for his continued strong support of the Global ICN Golden Rule Movement of Honor. Vincent Harlston received the ICN Christian Media of Excellence Award and Dr. Anthony Branch received an Honorary Doctorate in Letters from United Graduate College and Seminary International for his outstanding journalism.

We are witnessing great international results coming out of World Civility Day. Dr. Chuck Hughes and Dr. Gordon Bradshaw along with the Gary Indiana Chamber of Commerce, have worked together to create the Community Civility Counts Initiative and World Civility Day and appointed Dr. Clyde Rivers as the Spokesperson for World Civility Day. This award is reaching platforms of the world and iChange Nations™ is finding great people of civility to honor.

Former President of Zambia, Kenneth Kaunda, is one of the last living freedom fighter that aided Nelson Mandela in his apartheid movement in South Africa; helping him get free from prison and housing and protecting members of his political party for years. Kaunda worked in his country to unite the over 70 tribes that are united to this day. He was then first person in history awarded the prestigious ICN World Civility Award and this has set the bar high for this award.

Although unable to attend the event in Grand Rapids, Lew Bayer, CEO of Civility Experts Worldwide Inc. received the ICN World Civility Award and the highest award to-date from iChange Nations™, the Girma Wolde Giorgis Presidential Environmental Award for her work to change the environments of the world today through Civility Training, bringing solutions to a world full of incivility. Along with this award she also received the ICN World Civility Award.

At the iChange Nations™ Global Honor Event, Naldy Consuelo Portillo Folgar, the “Women of Peace” for the country of Guatemala, was awarded the iChange Nations™ World Civility Award and also the iChange Nations™ National Statesman Award for her work in peace building her country, Guatemala. iChange nations™ desires to recognize the individuals and organizations working to empower and help mankind.

“We need to brand a new kind of hero, a new role model for the people of the world to follow. If we don’t bring these great people to our global platforms to acknowledge and honor them, we have lost a huge part of legacy intended to guide and better the world. That is the reason ICN seeks out people doing great things to help the world and bestows honor upon them. We are creating a new standard and the world will follow,” says Dr. Clyde Rivers.

Another recipient was a presidential candidate for the country of Guinea, Alpha Kabine Baro, he was awarded the ICN World Civility Award, for his work to keep peace amongst the youth of his nation. Among the award recipients was a gubernatorial candidate for the state of Kansas, USA, Patrick Kucera. He was also a recipient of the World Civility Day Award.

Dr. Charles Kinuthia in turn received the World Civility Day Award for his work in the nations to bring equity and an entrepreneurial spirit into business systems supporting World Civility globally.

The building of Cultures of Honor is one of the mainstays of iChange Nations™ global work. Dr. Donella Pitzl, ICN’s Global Director said, “Honor has a life of its own, once you bring it, it changes the atmosphere and people are empowered and encouraged to continue to do good and help mankind.”

GOLDEN RULE WORLD PEACE AMBASSADORS RECEIVE UNITED WAY VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS

Harrisburg, PA, USA - In an award ceremony held on Thursday evening, April 20, 2017, Golden Rule World Peace Ambassadors  and Community Life Coaches, Chris and Carol Green, received one of United Way's 2017 Volunteer of the Year Nomination awards for their work and services in a local women's shelter.

“I have been blessed to bear witness to the selfless and tireless efforts Chris and Carol put into making a difference in the lives of people,“ said Denise Britton, Executive Director of the Shalom House Women's shelter, representing her organization which submitted the nomination to the United Way.

“Initially committing to helping share their life coaching expertise to expand the services for women and children at Shalom House, they quickly expanded their support to helping our staff expand their skills and ability to serve our residents. Thank you seems hardly enough to say for the appreciation we want to extend to both of them, for all that they do, for all of us.”

A little over one year ago, the Greens were merged into the shelter's monthly calendar to provide life coaching support for both the staff and residents of this special outreach situated in one of the City of Harrisburg’s high-crime neighborhoods.

"We're honored to be named among so many great people," said the nominees following the event. "We learned of many others who are donating hundreds of hours per year to worthy causes in the community. It's humbling to be mentioned among them."

Chris and Carol Green became part of the Shalom House strategy to transition the residents out of the shelter and back into everyday life. Their coaching tools proved to be vital in enhancing the resident’s life coping skills; enabling them to take confident steps toward rebuilding their families and recapturing their lives.

The Greens are certified master life coaches, urban family advocates, marriage and family advisers, and community leadership consultants. This couple created and implemented a proven coaching model that empowers people to push past the temptations to give up, and instead, make intentional, thoughtful and positive responses in spite of the devastation and obstacles in life.

GOLDEN RULE WORLD PEACE AMBASSADORS LAUNCH NEW FRUITFUL LIFE COACHING MATRIX

Chris and Carol Green launch The Fruitful Life Coaching Matrix

Harrisburg, PA, USA - Today, Golden Rule World Peace Ambassadors, Chris and Carol Green, introduced their new Fruitful Life Coaching Matrix to human service providers, during a monthly staff training hosted by the Shalom House Women's Shelter in Harrisburg, PA. This new coaching matrix shows human service organizations how to adopt life coaching skill-sets within a case management paradigm.

The innovation came through a year-long series of monthly training sessions with the staff of a local women's shelter, and culminated in the presentation of a strategy the shelter could implement to ensure that every employee or volunteer is introduced to a Golden-Rule-based approach in their daily service to their clients and residents.

"We have been strategically introducing the staff to Golden Rule values and core beliefs," explains Carol Green, "Then we took them through personality assessments and self-awareness exercises, which proved to be necessary to get the needed buy-in for changing the way one has been doing things.  It is a huge challenge to get people, who have been involved in human services for many years, to adopt a life coaching approach within a traditional case management system."

The Greens have learned that organizations and agencies across the United States are recognizing the need to change and improve their training in helping their workers make a better connection with their clients. However, many case workers are still struggling with their own personal demons and inner barriers, which come rushing to the surface when they reach moments of frustrations with difficult clients.

"The Fruitful Life Coaching Matrix provides a practical way for a human service organization to ensure that their staff is empowered and equipped beyond the regular job-skills matrix," adds Chris Green. "The typical job-skill matrix is a checkbox that indicates how well the staffer can do her job. The Fruitful Life Coaching Matrix is all about ensuring that you have a healthy healer, who is more than just an employee who can handle her case management load."

The Greens are certified master life coaches, urban family advocates, marriage and family advisers, and community leadership consultants. In addition to the Life Coaching Matrix, this couple has created and implemented a proven coaching model that empowers people to push past the temptations to give up, and instead, make intentional, thoughtful and positive responses in spite of the devastation and obstacles in life.

For their community service, they received United Way's 2017 Volunteer of the Year Nominations. If that contribution is lost, our entire world loses.

They are the unsung heroes of our world. I want to honor their service to humanity and inspire others to also strive for something greater than themselves."
