WORLD PEACE AMBASSADOR DR. CLYDE RIVERS ENDORSES THE COMMUNITY CIVILITY COUNTS INITIATIVE

Charles Hughes and Dr. Gordon Bradshaw have worked together to create the Community Civility Counts Initiative (CCC). This initiative is designed to create awareness that, we can be better in every area of life. And in so doing we will live in a civil manner and in a civilized society. The CCC has created the motto, “Together We Win!” These men are working together with the Public Policy Committee of Gary, Indiana Chamber of Commerce to spearhead this initiative, also partnering with The Times Media Company for the launching.

Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers the President and Founder of iChange Nations said, “Initiatives such as the Community Civility Counts are needed to help our world today. They confront the true issues with solutions and this has the potential to benefit every community in the world. I strongly endorse Community Civility Counts and these two statesmen and count it a privilege to work with these gentlemen as they live the Golden Rule and help others.”

Dr. Gordon Bradshaw and Charles Hughes have been awarded the iChange Nations Distinguished Leadership Medal for their community service and the Community Civility Counts Initiative. iChange Nations is a professional institution that equips, mentor and trains highly esteemed individuals who have the desire to change nations throughout the world.


Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers is the winner of the Martin Luther King Legacy of Peace Award for 2014. He is the Founder and President of iChange Nations and the Director of the North American Division of the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International.

On April 17, 2015 at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers, the Director of the North American Division of the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International Award presented Dr. Bradshaw with the highly esteemed Golden Rule International Award.

Dr. Gordon Bradshaw has served his community for over 42 years. He served in the Public Safety/Government sector and the Faith-Based community. He is also the Founder of the 3M Project Global Initiative and is a member of the Kingdom Congressional International Alliance, where he serves as the Vice President of the organization.

Ambassador Clyde Rivers said, “Dr. Bradshaw is an exemplary model of leadership. The legacy he will leave to the next generation is that of service to humanity. We at the Golden Rule International are extremely pleased to appoint Dr. Gordon Bradshaw a Goodwill Ambassadorship for the Golden Rule International and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative.”

URI is an international organization that is working throughout the world. It is an NGO with Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.”

CHARLES HUGHES RECOGNIZED GLOBALLY FOR HIS SERVICE TO EMPOWER COMMUNITIES

Charles Hughes is the Executive Director of the Gary, Indiana Chamber of Commerce. His life of service to the City of Gary, Indiana has brought global recognition. Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers, the Director of the North American Division of the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International Award presented Charles Hughes with the prestigious Golden Rule International Award. He was appointed as a Goodwill Peace Ambassador for Golden Rule International at a ceremony held on April 17, 2015 at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Charles Hughes serves his community at multiple levels. As a fireman for 34 years, reaching the rank of Battalion Chief, he has been recognized for creating a strong relationship between the department and the community. Mr. Hughes also served for 16 years as a member of the Gary, Indiana City Council, with two of his terms served as the President of the Council. His success also enabled him to serve as the Education Chairman for the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns. Hughes continued his dedication to service as the Chairman of the Committee of National League of Cities, Public Safety and Crime Prevention. Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “These accomplishments prove to the world that he is qualified to serve as a Goodwill Peace Ambassador for the Golden Rule and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative. We are honored to have Charles Hughes serve with us globally.”

DR. CLYDE RIVERS RECEIVES AWARD FROM HAITI

Leconte University presented Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers with an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership in Humanities. The Library of Congress Haiti recognizes Leconte University and it is the first private university in the history of the Republic of Haiti to present this award for tireless effort to bring peace to the world.

The citation given to Dr. Rivers stated in part, “Your belief in ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’  - the Golden Rule, incorporates a belief system that sees no bounds, only ardent activity guided by the grace of God. Through this ideology, you have created a multi-cultural faith based initiative to resolve issues and concerns worldwide… As a World Peace Ambassador your commitment to promote unity and understanding, allows you to surpass obstacles be they culturally, racially or religiously inspired. Universite Leconte D’Haiti welcomes a partnership to utilize your leadership and administrative gifts to collaborate in the restoration of its prominence to the pursuit of education, social and economic development for the people of Haiti. Your vision has brought back the lost art of honor, which has earned you the respect as a distinguished leader among Heads of State, former Presidents, Clergy, Dignitaries and Universities worldwide.”

Ambassador Rivers said, “It speaks volumes to be honored by a non-religious university for trying to bring unity to the people of the world. Every individual born is valuable to the world and especially valuable to God. So we must protect the image of God in every individual born in this world.”

ICHANGE NATIONS AND GOLDEN RULE A SUCCESS IN EL SALVADOR

President and Founder of IChange Nations, Dr. Clyde Rivers, acknowledged the IChange Nations and Golden Rule Award Ceremony in El Salvador as a monumental success. On February 15, 2015, Dr. Jenny Lopez, a Representative for IChange Nations in the country of El Salvador had the privilege of presenting the Former First Lady of El Salvador, Vanda Pignato, with the IChange Nations Global Leadership Award and the Golden Rule International Award. She was honored for her tireless effort in protecting women’s rights in the Republic of El Salvador.  

Dr. Jenny Lopez said, “I have never been in any event this prestigious in my life. The Former First Lady of El Salvador, Vanda Pignato, is worthy of these awards. Her life actions speak louder than her words.”

Dr. Lopez also took the Golden Rule to the Trinity Broadcasting Network in El Salvador. She shared with the nation the importance of everyone living the Golden Rule, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”

Ambassador Clyde Rivers said, “In the days ahead world, be watching the country of El Salvador. This will become a nation where the Golden Rule is the guiding principle of the country.”

GOLDEN RULE BAHAMAS A MAJOR SUCCESS

On February 15, 2015 the Golden Rule reformation hit the Bahamas. The recipients of this well-earned award were some of the top leaders in the different segments of the Bohemian system. These leaders have exemplified the Golden Rule in their market place. They have made their community a better place.

Ambassador Clyde Rivers challenged these leaders to make their nation a Golden Rule Nation. Rivers said, “I have never seen so much enthusiasm from the leaders of a nation to adopt and create this working philosophy for their nation - ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated’ - the Golden Rule. Every life in every nation is priceless. I am truly humbled and happy to welcome these fellow Ambassadors of the Golden Rule to our global community.”

Ambassador Rivers went on to thank Dr. Kevin Storr for his excellent job as Master of Ceremonies for this event in the Bahamas.

ICHANGE NATIONS ESTABLISHES THE PRESIDENT GIRMA WOLDE-GIORGIS ENVIROMENTAL AWARD

IChange Nations President, Dr. Clyde Rivers says, “I am very grateful to the former President of Ethiopia, President Girma Wolde-Giorgis, for allowing iChange Nations to establish an international award in his name. The name of the award is President Girma Wolde-Giorgis Environmental Award. We are establishing the International Environmental Award in honor and acknowledgement of his work on the protection of the environment of Ethiopia and his advocate work for the Land Use Policy of Ethiopia.”

The President of iChange Nations, Dr. Clyde Rivers went on to say, “The importance of protecting the environment is one of the major issues facing the nations of the world today. We have been given the mandate from God to protect His earth. Former President Girma Wolde-Giorgis has exemplified this for 65 years. This is why we will bring this presidential honor to the elite of the world that are leading in environmental protection.
