World Civility Award Winners

iChange Nations™ the “World’s Largest Building Cultures of Honor” network had an International Honor Event in Grand Rapids, Michigan November 4, 2017. In attendance were several different nations. Leading humanitarians and people of civility were honored with prestigious iChange Nations™ Awards.

There was a great representation from NW Indiana. Dr. Gordon Bradshaw, one of the founders of Community Civility Counts Initiative received the iChange Nations “Pillar Award” for his continued strong support of the Global ICN Golden Rule Movement of Honor. Vincent Harlston received the ICN Christian Media of Excellence Award and Dr. Anthony Branch received an Honorary Doctorate in Letters from United Graduate College and Seminary International for his outstanding journalism.

We are witnessing great international results coming out of World Civility Day. Dr. Chuck Hughes and Dr. Gordon Bradshaw along with the Gary Indiana Chamber of Commerce, have worked together to create the Community Civility Counts Initiative and World Civility Day and appointed Dr. Clyde Rivers as the Spokesperson for World Civility Day. This award is reaching platforms of the world and iChange Nations™ is finding great people of civility to honor.

Former President of Zambia, Kenneth Kaunda, is one of the last living freedom fighter that aided Nelson Mandela in his apartheid movement in South Africa; helping him get free from prison and housing and protecting members of his political party for years. Kaunda worked in his country to unite the over 70 tribes that are united to this day. He was then first person in history awarded the prestigious ICN World Civility Award and this has set the bar high for this award.

Although unable to attend the event in Grand Rapids, Lew Bayer, CEO of Civility Experts Worldwide Inc. received the ICN World Civility Award and the highest award to-date from iChange Nations™, the Girma Wolde Giorgis Presidential Environmental Award for her work to change the environments of the world today through Civility Training, bringing solutions to a world full of incivility. Along with this award she also received the ICN World Civility Award.

At the iChange Nations™ Global Honor Event, Naldy Consuelo Portillo Folgar, the “Women of Peace” for the country of Guatemala, was awarded the iChange Nations™ World Civility Award and also the iChange Nations™ National Statesman Award for her work in peace building her country, Guatemala. iChange nations™ desires to recognize the individuals and organizations working to empower and help mankind.

“We need to brand a new kind of hero, a new role model for the people of the world to follow. If we don’t bring these great people to our global platforms to acknowledge and honor them, we have lost a huge part of legacy intended to guide and better the world. That is the reason ICN seeks out people doing great things to help the world and bestows honor upon them. We are creating a new standard and the world will follow,” says Dr. Clyde Rivers.

Another recipient was a presidential candidate for the country of Guinea, Alpha Kabine Baro, he was awarded the ICN World Civility Award, for his work to keep peace amongst the youth of his nation. Among the award recipients was a gubernatorial candidate for the state of Kansas, USA, Patrick Kucera. He was also a recipient of the World Civility Day Award.

Dr. Charles Kinuthia in turn received the World Civility Day Award for his work in the nations to bring equity and an entrepreneurial spirit into business systems supporting World Civility globally.

The building of Cultures of Honor is one of the mainstays of iChange Nations™ global work. Dr. Donella Pitzl, ICN’s Global Director said, “Honor has a life of its own, once you bring it, it changes the atmosphere and people are empowered and encouraged to continue to do good and help mankind.”

FORMER PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA RECEIVES HONORARY DOCTORATE FROM LATIN UNIVERSITY OF THEOLOGY, USA

Zambia, Africa - January 2017:  iChange Nations™ International Commissioner for Latin University of Theology, Professor Clyde Rivers, honored the first Republican President of Zambia Africa,  Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda, by presenting him an honorary Doctorate in Societal Human Rights for his work to liberate the people of Africa from colonialism and for uniting his nation. Zambia has over 70 tribes and they are united to this day because of Dr. Kaunda’s efforts. He also served as the Chairman of the African Union and labored for peace on the continent of Africa. He received this honor in his home in Lusaka, Zambia.

Latin University of Theology has been operating for more than a decade and has graduated over 25,000 missionaries and ministers from the United States, Latin America, Europe and Africa. This distance-learning university is based out of Inglewood California. The university provides degrees in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, and Biblical Counseling. Dr. Manuel Tigerino is the Founder and President of Latin University of Theology.

“Latin University of Theology and Dr. Manuel Tigerino have a desire to see great individuals honored for their skills and philosophy,” Professor Rivers shared. “Their labors need to be awarded around the world. In Rogers Park Chicago at the Sullivan High School, over 40 top Humanitarians and Activists gathered as World Peace Ambassador Clyde Rivers brought the Culture of Honor to a number of prestigious recipients. One of these recipients was the renowned South African Freedom Fighter, Gideon Mahlathini Makhanya, who was honored for his tireless efforts to bring peace and freedom to South Africa. 

The individuals awarded the Golden Rule International Award join the many influential Golden Rule International Alumni around the world. The Golden Rule states “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” These recipients were awarded because their lives are an example of this New Global Peace Policy.

Ambassador Rivers commented, “To find people fighting for humanity is a wonderful happening. I was so honored to be able to bestow on Gideon Makhanya the Global World Peace Ambassadorship with the Golden Rule International Award.” Ambassador Rivers went on to say, “Watching the hearts of these passionate people working to see the Golden Rule come to their city Chicago, was overwhelming.”

Ambassador Rivers’ message at this event was a change of conversation. He spoke of the worlds need to value the gifts from God in every individual. He stated, “We lose everything when a person looses his or her life. It’s a tragic lose for the world and we suffer the lack of that contribution. That gift will never enter into our existence. We must work to preserve every individual in the world because their gifts are necessary for our world to develop and be great.”

On April 23^rd, 2016 at an IChange Nations™ Event on Capitol Hill, Dr. Mizell spoke to national leaders from several nations of the world about leading well. Dr. Mizell is a strong advocate of the Golden Rule, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” She is among the prestigious Golden Rule International Ambassadors and alumni of IChange Nations™.

This is ICN/GR’s largest gathering to date as they work to unify divers cultures through the Culture of Honor.

In search of people deserving of honor at global, national, state and community levels, ICN Alumni and Golden Rule International Ambassadors out did themselves in this, by invitation only, event. Quality individuals, that have made positive contributions in helping mankind, came from all over the globe to Capitol Hill, Washington DC and received honor in the presence of their peers from around the world.

THE GOLDEN RULE INTERNATIONAL AWARD GOES TO CHIEF OF POLICE DAVID ENYEART

Chief of Police for Toledo Oregon, Chief David Enyeart, received the prestigious global Golden Rule International Award in January 2016 in Newport Oregon The event planned and organized by Youth Add Value™ in conjunction with IChange Nations™ and the Golden Rule International Award Systems. Chief Enyeart is highly motivated to leverage 17 years of achievements in law enforcement and 37 years in the Oregon National Guard to provide dedicated service to the state and federal governments. Chief Enyeart has a Master in Strategic Studies and a BS in Psychology.

MG Enyeart had three combat deployments, two to Afghanistan and one Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was honored with the Defense Superior Service Medal and Legion of Merit for superior performance; two Bronze Star Medal’s for actions during combat operations, three Meritorious Service Medal, and four Army Commendation Medal for superior performance in a variety positions.  Awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal, for excellent execution of a joint mission with the Air Force, and a Combat Infantry Badge for heroic actions under fire. He now uses his vast experience to better the community he is serving. Ambassador Rivers commented, “This highly decorated man, Chief Enyeart, is living a life that exemplifies the Golden Rule ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’ We are fortunate to have a man of his caliber as one of our World Peace Ambassador and the city of Toledo should be proud to have him serving their community. Siletz Mayor John Robinson received the Golden Rule International Award on Capitol Hill Washington DC late 2015. The Golden Rule International Award motto is, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” Mayor Robinson serves his community of Siletz and he has a heart for mankind and proves it by his actions. He has worked to provide his community and outlying areas on the Central Oregon Coast with tools for preparedness in the event of a disaster and education for survival. He values the indigenous Siletz Indian Tribe that makes up a great part of his local community and seeks to be the best mayor he can be.

Winston Garraway. We seek out top achievers that live the Golden Rule in their everyday life, “Treating others the way they want to be treated.” World Peace Ambassador Dr. Charles Karuku, an IPI Representative for Ambassador Clyde Rivers the Representative - North American Division to the United Nations - New York, along with Golden Rule World Peace Ambassador, Dr. Eric Melwani, presented the Golden Rule International Award to Hon. Winston Garraway.

Hon. Winston Garraway has proven that his lifestyle is an example of the Golden Rule and for this reason this esteemed Golden Rule International Award was bestowed upon him. Hon. Winston Garraway was appointed to the Senate as Agency Manager in 2013 and continues to this day to work for his country. He has worked tirelessly to help his fellow countryman young and old better their quality of life through many avenues of sports and education. We wish to welcome Hon.
